Natural Medicine Division Listening Sessions Schedule

The following outlines a schedule of public listening sessions the Department of Revenue (DOR) Natural Medicine Division (Division) will be facilitating throughout September.

All Listening Sessions will be open to the public and recorded.

The Division is requesting interested parties who have information to share on these topics and may be interested in presenting at a Listening Session to please reach out to Allison Robinette (allison.robinette@state.co.us).

4 Testing Program Meeting #1

Wednesday, September 27

  • Overview of CO's cannabis testing program and Oregon's current psilocybin testing program
  • What testing categories are most critical for natural medicine?
  • At what points should testing occur? (e.g. prior to any transfer to a Facilitator or Healing Center)
  • Who should be responsible for submitting samples for testing? (e.g. the facilitator, cultivation, manufacturer, healing center)
5 Cultivation & Manufacturing Practices Meeting #1

Tuesday, October 3

10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

  • What traditional or historical cultivation practices can serve as a foundation for regulatory guardrails or requirements?
  • What types of products should be permitted (or prohibited) within the regulated space?
  • What are the emerging product types and
    should those emerging products be subject to more stringent or additional
    requirements in order to be utilized in an
    administration session?

  • If the Division is able to secure space at the Department of Revenue for an in-person attendance option, we will include that information on the session agenda and Division website.

  • The Division continues to coordinate closely with the Natural Medicine Advisory Board (NMAB) and our partners at the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) to ensure these Listening Sessions work in tandem with the NMAB’s work and avoid duplication.

  • The Division will announce future meetings in October and November as we navigate these initial conversations.
