The importance of public engagement
The Natural Medicine Division (NMD) is committed to transparency and creating a regulatory framework that reflects both the will of the voters and the direction of the Colorado General Assembly through proactive collaboration with stakeholders. The NMD is hosting meetings with local municipalties to update them on the rules for the new industry, as well as Interested Applicant forums to assist with license applications and other regulatory requirements. In addition, the NMD held several listening sessions from September 2023 to March 2024 on topics related to natural medicine cultivation, manufacturing, and healing centers, among others.
