The regulated natural medicine program in Colorado is a therapeutic regulatory framework in which licensed facilitators offer natural medicine services to individuals over the age of 21.
Dispensing and distributing natural medicine as part of a business promotion or commercial activity is prohibited and remains a criminal offense under the Colorado Criminal Code. See § 18-18-434(5)(c), C.R.S. Sales of regulated natural medicine are prohibited in both the regulatory framework and in the personal use space.
The Department of Revenue Natural Medicine Division has issued the following Cease and Desist letters to businesses engaged in the commercial sale of psilocybin mushrooms:
